Emergency light module for SafeLight and M-Flex

Our Emergency Light Module provides emergency light for the M-Flex and SafeLight LED strips if the power goes out.

 

As an accessorie you can add our LED Strip Light Emergency Power Supply to provide emergency lighting in the event of a power outage.

In the event of a power failure, the emergency light module will switch to battery operation and the LED light will illuminate at 10% of the original brightness. The device is approved for use in both dry and damp environments, and with a fully charged battery, the device will provide 1 + 1 hour of emergency lighting. After 1 hour, the device switches off automatically.

If a new voltage drop occurs, the unit will be active for another 1 hour. The battery function must be tested regularly.

Easy installation

  • The emergency light module can only be connected to our M-Flex, SafeLight or SafeLight ECO LED strips M-Flex, SafeLight or SafeLight ECO LED strips

  • The battery can be attached to the substrate

  • Let the battery charge for at least 12 hours before use

Charging the batery

  • The battery in the emergency light module is charged automatically when it is connected to power. 

  • The LED strip does not need to be connected to charge the battery.

  • If the module gets hot, interrupt charging and disconnect the LED strip. Allow the battery to cool before continuing.

Storage

  • Avoid contact with corrosive substances and do not expose the battery to heat or fire.

  • The battery should be charged before storing.

  • Avoid storing an empty battery.

  • Recommended storage temperature is 0 to 30 ° C

Transport

  • Handle with care during loading and unloading as well as during transport.

  • Do not transport the emergency lighting battery unprotected together with flammable and explosive goods or sharp metal objects.

Service

  • When changing the battery, the power must always be off.

  • The battery should be serviced within 6 months.

LED indikator

The emergency light battery module has a LED indicator that shows the status of the device. These are:

Red constant light:                    The device is charging.
Green constant light:                  The device is fully charged.
Flashing green (1Hz):                  Power disconnected - Emergency function is activated
Fast flashing green (3Hz):     The device needs its monthly check
Fast flashing green (5Hz):     The device needs its yearly check
Flashing red:                               System error. Service required.

If the emergency function is in operation and the green light stops illuminating, the battery is empty.
